Commitment #2

The University of Toledo received their 2nd commitment in the 2010 recruiting class late Saturday night. Coach Beckman and his staff have been working hard this summer to gain some early commitments to the class, and things have been paying off. The University of Toledo received their 2nd commitment in the 2010 recruiting class Saturday night. Coach Beckman and his staff have been working hard this summer to gain some early commitments to the class, and things have been paying off. First Newark, OH offensive lineman Josh Hendershot verbally committed to Toledo, and now another Ohio offensive lineman has joined Hendershot as a future Rocket.

Edgewood High School offensive lineman Taylor Miller visited Toledo over the weekend, and made the call to Toledo a few hours after getting home from the visit. Miller is a 6-5 and 295 pound offensive guard.

"I called Coach Nichols after my visit and left him a voice mail saying I wanna verbally commit," Miller told Rocket Digest early this morning. Taylor called Coach Nichols around Midnight.

Miller chose Toledo over offers from Akron, Ohio University, and Western Michigan. He also had interest from several BCS schools, including Ohio State. Last fall Taylor was invited to several Ohio State football games and attended two of them, one of them being the OSU/UM rivalry game.

"I committed to Toledo because of the coaches and I liked the campus," Miller said.

The scouting report on Taylor Miller says that he has very good upper body strength. He has long arms and the ability to move his feet. He is expected to be one of the top offensive line prospects in the state of Ohio for the 2010 recruiting class.

Taylor has been a starter on the varsity team at Edgewood since his freshman year. Stay tuned to Rocket Digest over the coming days for more on Taylor Miller's commitment to Toledo.
