Bowman Hearing From the MAC

Chad Bowman is a 6-0, 188 pound safety prospect from Franklin Regional High School in Pennsylvania. With 4.48 speed and decent size, Bowman has received two offers from lower division schools. However, he is hearing from some MAC schools and is currently holding out for a Division I FBS offer. Read on to find out which MAC schools are in touch.

Chad Bowman is a 6-0, 188 pound safety from Franklin Regional High School in Pennsylvania. He's got good speed, with his best forty time a 4.48 at an Akron camp last month.

On the recruiting front he has offers from Bryant University and Sacred Heart, but he is receiving DI FBS interest from Akron, Bowling Green, Buffalo, Ohio, and Toledo.

Rocket Digest recently caught up with Bowman to discuss his interest in Toledo. "Most definitely I am," Bowman said when asked if he is interested in the Rockets. He added, "Coach said I was one of the top ten players they are looking at."

Bowman is being recruited solely as a safety by the Rockets. Assistant coaches Jason Candle and Paul Nichols are recruiting Chad for UT.

Bowman visited Toledo last month for a camp. "I liked campus when I was down there and I liked all the coaches," he said about his thoughts of the UT football program and campus.

Despite the two offers, Bowman is holding out for a DI FBS offer. He said that he's been talking to the coaches at some Division I FBS schools, including Toledo, and they want to see him play a game or two this fall before offering. "If I get one I might wait to see, just to see my options. If one came why wouldn't another come, you know?"

Stay tuned to Rocket Digest as summer leads into fall, while we keep you updated on Chad Bowman's status as a Toledo Rocket football prospect.
