Grant Pleasant Recruiting Update

The Toledo Rockets signed five defensive lineman in last year's recruiting class. This time around the Rockets are likely to only take a couple of defensive lineman. One student-athlete high on their radar is Grant Pleasant of Dublin Scioto High School in Ohio. Toledo is one of four schools to offer Pleasant, but where do they stand with the standout?

Grant Pleasant is a 6-3, 230 pound defensive end from Dublin Scioto High School in Ohio. Pleasant has offers from Toledo, Bowling Green, Akron, and Ohio. He is also hearing from Wisconsin, Michigan State, Cincinnati, Iowa, Indiana, Buffalo, Kent State, and Ball State.

Rocket Digest recently caught up with Grant to get a recruiting update and found out that one school in particular is catching his attention. "At this point I've become a lot more comfortable with Toledo after talking with the coaching staff a little more and seeing the campus, although I'm still very comfortable with Bowling Green," Grant told Rocket Digest.

Pleasant is very high on Toledo's list, but the Rockets are likely only going to take one or two defensive ends in the 2010 recruiting class. The Rockets do not have any commitments on the defensive line yet, but they could fill up fast.

With that in mind, does Grant feel that he is close to making a commitment? When asked that question, Pleasant responded by saying, "At this point no, I feel that a lot more doors will open after the first few games."
