WMU: 4 Days and Counting

The Toledo Rockets look to win their third straight game this Saturday night when they host MAC West Division foe Western Michigan. It's homecoming for the Rockets, and the game is slated for a 7pm start. What names do you need to know as the Rockets look to improve to 2-0 in Mid-American Conference action? Rocket Digest gives you 4 names to know.

The Toledo Rockets are a 7 1/2 point favorite Saturday night for their homecoming game against Western Michigan. What are the names that you need to know as you sit down in your seat at the Glass Bowl, or listen to the game on the Rocket Sports Radio Network?

Four Names to Know

Tim Hiller - The senior quarterback for Western Michigan has had a great career coming into the 2009 season, but he has struggled this year. He is still completing 63.3% of his passes, but he has only thrown for 1,224 yards and 8 touchdowns through five games. What has hurt Hiller even more is that he has thrown six interceptions, including three against Northern Illinois last weekend.

Brandon West - West is the starting running back for Western Michigan. The senior is averaging 4.5 yards per rush. He has just 381 yards rushing and two touchdowns on the season, but West has a lot of speed and is a threat to break a big run at anytime. Through five games, his longest rush of the season is 35 yards. He also returns kicks for WMU and is averaging 26.1 yards per return.

Austin Pritchard - A senior linebacker for the Broncos, Pritchard is by far the leading tackler on the team this year with 50 total tackles. He has 3.5 tackles for loss with one sack. He's also blocked a kick, forced two fumbles, and recovered one fumble. He needs to have a huge game against the Rocket offense, if WMU is going to be able to stop Toledo at all.

Juan Nunez - A junior wide receiver for WMU, Nunez missed their last game with an injury. However, he is expected to play against Toledo Saturday night. If Tim Hiller is going to have any success, he needs Nunez to step up. In four games this year, Nunez has 23 receptions for 341 yards and 3 TD's. He is also 2nd on the team in All-Purpose yards, averaging 85.2 yards per game.
