This is a big weekend at the University of Toledo. First, it is Homecoming. Second, the Rockets host Western Michigan in a key MAC West Division battle, where the Rockets are looking to stay undefeated in conference play. Third, it is a big recruiting weekend. Rocket Digest has learned that approximately 100 prospects from the 2010 and 2011 recruiting classes will be in attendance for the game. Rocket Digest has also confirmed some of the visitors that will be in attendance.

Offensive line commit Taylor Miller (6-5, 295) is one of those that will be in attendance. Miller is a three star prospect and ranked #63 at offensive guard by Scout.com. Taylor committed to Toledo on June 27th, and he can't wait to check out Toledo. "I'm coming to the game this weekend, I'm very excited," Miller told Rocket Digest.

Marion-Franklin QB Verlon Reed (6-2, 185) will also be in attendance Saturday night. Reed has offers from Toledo, Bowling Green, Kent State, and Syracuse. He is also hearing from North Carolina State and Ohio State. Reed is one of the most important prospects for the Rockets. He fits Toledo's spread offense perfectly with a strong arm and 4.50 speed. He seems to be favoring Toledo and Bowling Green at this point, and is looking forward to his visit to Toledo this weekend.

Other confirmed visitors for the WMU game this weekend are RB Tyson Gulley, RB Justin Davis, WR Jimmy Hall, and DE Grant Pleasant. Gulley, Hall, and Pleasant all have offers from Toledo and are high on the Rocket recruiting board. Jimmy Hall is a local prospect from Southview High School. He has an impressive offer list that includes Toledo, Bowling Green, Colorado, UCONN, Kansas, Syracuse, and West Virginia. Davis does not have an offer at this time.

The Rockets currently have 11 players on the roster from the state of Florida. The game at FIU a couple of weeks ago was a good recruiting tool for the staff as they look to bring in more Florida recruits. Recently, running backs Malcolm Jones and Robert Boswell have received offers from Toledo. They are from Orange Park, FL. Boswell is being recruited as a running back and slot receiver, while Jones is being recruited strictly as a running back.

Other Florida prospects with known offers from Toledo are RB Dareyon Chance, LB Justin Wilson, DE Desmond Bozeman, WR Justen Davis, WR Toby Durham, DB Garrett Smith, and LB Hans Louis.

Last weekend UT commit Derek Roback injured the wrist of his throwing hand. X-rays were not clear as to the extent of the injury, so he had a MRI on Monday.

"Well it's not broken, so that's always a good thing," Roback told Rocket Digest after learning the results of the MRI. He added, "I'm playing wide receiver this week, cause I can't throw at all."
