So how bad was Eamon Kelly really? How about Buddy Ball? Blowing an 8-0 lead to Stanford in the College World Series? Getting cursed at by 8 year old LSU fans? Losing to LSU 62-0? Losing to LSU 62-0? Losing to LSU 62-0? Losing to Alabama 62-0?
The answer of course would be not bad at all compared to what we, Tulane fans, are faced with presently in the form of one Scott Cowen. Wasn't he the one who let students paint his face at athletic events? Isn't he the one who has a suit in a case in the UC that was spray painted by Shaun King after the 12-0 season? Isn't he the "Sports President".
Ok, as you can see I'm not exactly in a good mood. Some of this has to do with the fact that I spent the weekend watching another in the long line of postseason chokes by the Tulane baseball team. So now we've lost to North Carolina-Wilmington, Charlotte, and Greensboro. I hope Rick Jones didn't schedule Ashville for next season. But who am I to complain really, at least we have a team. Can I be assured that I'll be able to say that this time next year? No, and the answer why lies in the mind of one Scott Cowen.
Its not bad enough that Cowen and his devious board allies, the Axis of Evil, tried to sneak Tulane into Division III, Cowen has the audacity to force people such as Yvette Jones to doctor the athletic department books so it looks like we are in more trouble financially then we actually are. Do you know what the worse part is? People are buying it. People are still believing words that are coming out of Cowen's mouth.
I'd bet Chris Scelfo would not come within fifty feet of Cowen these days after finding out
that this is the same Cowen that had the (fill in the blank) to hug the Coach after Tulane's 36-28 upset win over Hawaii in the Hawaii Bowl in December while all along Cowen knew and was hoping that football would die quietly at Tulane, a place that has had football since Queen Victoria ruled the British Empire.
Scott Cowen knows nothing about, nor cares about a Louisiana tradition that is over 100 years old. He is an outsider and truthfully our fate lays the hands of numerous outsiders. Luckily
for Tulane, New Orleans and the state of Louisiana, this devious plot was leaked to the public. Then there are those within Cowen's ranks that are betraying him by helping to educate all of us as to his evil ways. Unfortunately there are also those who are afraid of him and fear of their jobs and thus follow blindly as he attempts to destroy what those three 62 point losses to LSU could not accomplish.
Wave fans, our time is now. We must take back our beloved school from an outsider who clearly does not have our best interests in mind. The Axis of Evil have only one thing in mind and that is their own pockets. It's a shame, it's a real shame that we could not send of such wonderful
Tulanians such as Michael Aubrey and Jonny Kaplan in a proper fashion since we were all too worried about how to send off Scott Cowen.
ROLL GREEN WAVE FOREVER!!!!!!!!!
