Here is a look of how Tulane's future opponents fared this past weekend:
UTEP (1-6, 0-3 CUSA) – Lost to Tulsa 11-33
UAB (1-5, 0-2 CUSA) – Lost to Houston 17-39
Rice (2-5, 0-3 CUSA) – Beat UTSA 34-14
Memphis (1-5, 1-1 CUSA) – Lost to East Carolina 7-41
East Carolina (4-3, 3-1 CUSA) – Beat Memphis 41-7
Houston (3-3, 2-0 CUSA) – Beat UAB 39-17
In another note, Tulane is currently tied for 3rd in the Western Division of C-USA with a conference record of 1-1, behind Tulsa (4-0), and Houston (2-0). Tulane also has a bit of an easier stretch upcoming in its schedule with its next four opponents with a combined record of 5-21. Coming off the big first win against SMU, there is a very real possibility of a successful season if the team can continue to build on the momentum.
