TULANE-TEXAS TO BE NATIONALLY TELEVISED BY TBS

Tulane, 2-1 after a thrilling, come-from-behind victory over Mississippi State, travels to Army this Saturday for the third time in the last four years. The Green Wave will return to New Orleans Oct. 11th when it plays host to Houston for Homecoming 2003 at Tad Gormley Stadium

Tulane's football game at Texas on Saturday, Sept. 27th has been selected for national television broadcast by TBS, giving the Green Wave at least six TV games in 2003, including three national cable telecasts. The Tulane-Texas game will kickoff at 6 p.m. CDT from Royal-Texas Memorial Stadium in Austin.

Ron Thulin will handle play-by-play duties, with Charles Davis serving as the analyst and Craig Sager reporting from the sidelines. The TBS national game joins Tulane's ESPN games versus TCU (Sept. 1st) and the contest at Louisville on Oct. 17th and becomes the third national broadcast for the Green Wave in 2003.

In addition, Tulane's game at Army this Saturday (Sept. 20th) and at Southern Miss on November 15th will be televised by ESPN Plus. Cox Sports Television will air those games in Louisiana, with both broadcasts scheduled for a 2:30 p.m. (Central Time) kickoff. The Green Wave's game at Navy November 1st will be televised by CN8, a Comcast cable network that can be seen across the Eastern seaboard.
