Kent Turene, the 6-3, 224-pound linebacker prospect from Lauderdale Lakes (Fla.) Anderson, first talked to us about how his senior season's been going.

"Right now my season is going great. We are 3 and 1; we had a big win last week. Individually I am doing great; I am helping my team become successful."

Turene committed to USC during the summer and talked about the status of that.

"I am solid," he said. "I am still considering other schools though. Right now I am focused on the season. Right now, I have three schools on my mind. Georgia, I like the coaching staff. LSU, I have a good relationship with the coaches. UCLA, they are a pretty good team, they just beat Texas last night. I heard a lot of great things about him from Wayne Lyons."

The standout linebacker prospect says several schools are still recruiting him, despite his USC pledge.

"A lot of schools have been calling me -- Alabama, Florida, Ole Miss, Georgia, LSU, Louisville, Nebraska, Tennessee, USC, UCLA, Maryland, Cincinnati, and Texas A&M all have been calling me recently," he said.

Turene, who claims a 2.9 GPA and a 24 ACT score, hasn't scheduled any official visits yet.
