Players Suspended for Oregon

UCLA today suspended two key players for the Oregon game for what it sites as a "violation of team rules"...

UCLA's Media Release:

Two members of the Bruin football team have been suspended for one game for violation of team rules, UCLA head football Coach Rick Neuheisel announced today.

Wide receiver Josh Smith and F-back Morrell Presley will not play in the Oct. 21 contest against second-ranked Oregon in Eugene.

Due to federal and state student privacy laws, UCLA will have no further comment on the matter.

Presley and Smith participated in practice Tuesday.

While there have been rumors that there could potentially be more player suspended, a source indicated that the latest word is that the suspensions could be limited to Presley and Smith.
