UCLA was back out in Vegas over the weekend and was able to check out Tai in action, after he previously camped with the Bruins.
Seeing him live, though, helped net Tai an offer from UCLA, and it gave UCLA a big boost in Tai's recruitment.
"UCLA offered me on Sunday," said Tai. "It's a huge offer for me and they are a part of my top. They passed the phone around to all the defensive coaching staff, so that was cool. Coach (Clark) Lea was at our game on Friday."
Tai had camped at UCLA in early June at their 1-Day Camp, but knew an offer wasn't going to come until they saw him on a Friday night, which they did this past weekend.
Now Tai wants to return the favor and come out to Southern California.
"I'll get out their for their next home game (against Oregon State), but not this weekend," said Tai. "I'm going to Arkansa this weekend."
The visit to Arkansas will be Tai's third official visit, and he camped with the Razorbacks as well during the summer, and head coach Bobby Petrino is recruiting Tai, having coaches his father at Weber State.
Tai said he's got a top five, but two are on top.
Tai said he wants to decide soon, since he plans to graduate early.
"I'm a December grad so my decision will come in November or early December at the latest," said Tai.
Tai missed part of the season with an ankle injury, but in the four games since, he's got 25 tackles and seven sacks.
