Weekend Prospect Review: Week Seven

Some thrillers in the Serra and Trinity League marked a relatively uneventful weekend in the prep football world...

Game of the Week: Servite def. St. John Bosco, 32-24
The Friars extended their winning streak to 18 games but they had to work for this one, against an upstart Braves team.  2012 receiver Bryce Treggs had an interception and scored on two touchdown receptions, but the Friars held off Bosco to stay unbeaten in league play before their showdown with Mater Dei this weekend.

Desert Vista def. Chandler, 28-21
Chandler was without UCLA committed quarterback Brett Hundley, who suffered an ankle injury a week before, and it cost them a game, losing to Desert Vista by a touchdown, after trailing 21-0.  Hundley is expected back this week.

Amat, led by junior running back Jalen Moore's 248 yards and four touchdowns, topped the Jerry Neuheisel-less Cubs by 10.  Arizona bound running back Jared Baker rushed for a pair of touchdowns in the loss and junior receiver Kodi Whitfield had a touchdown catch.
