Page Getting Attention

Jerrod Page, an all-state underclass selection for his junior season from San Leandro, had a great showing at the Stanford Nike Camp, which confirmed him as one of the best defensive backs in California. And the recruiting interest is increasing...

Jerrod Page, 6-0, 185, 4.5, San Leandro (Calif.) High, showed last weekend at the Stanford Nike Camp that he wasn't named all-state underclass last year for nothing.

Page, after testing well (jumping almost 36 inches in the vertical) , then really displayed some nice skills and quickness in the passing drills. Page was receiving some recruiting attention before, but the buzz around the camp was that, after his performance, the attention would definitely increase.

Page said he's still wide open and didn't profess to have any favorite schools. But then he went on to talk about his connections to UCLA. "My brother went there," Page said. "He graduated last year. So, I've been there a lot and I'm really comfortable there."

Michigan and Texas were two schools that Page also mentioned he would want to visit. He's also said in the past that he was considering Cal and Michigan State.

When asked what he would do in picking a school, Page said, "I want to consider all of the options. I want to take some trips and check out some places. I really only know UCLA right now. So, I'll take my time."

Page said he has a 3.0 GPA and scored 1,000 on SAT.
