A Possible Early Commitment?

Dale Thompson, 6-4, 240, Corona (Calif.) Santiago, received his first offer from Colorado months ago and then picked up an offer from UCLA late last week.

"UCLA has been one of my favorite schools for awhile," Thompson said. "I said early on that I wanted to commit early and I am thinking about making an early commitment right now. UCLA is a great academic school and with Coach (Karl) Dorrell coming in, I really believe he will turn around the program."

This past weekend, Thompson attended USC's Junior Day and said he had a great experience there.

"I had a great time," Thompson said. "I thought the coaches were real cool, it's a great football program and they have a strong academic program as well. USC is another school that has been one of my favorites for awhile. I'm also looking at Arizona State and Texas along with Colorado and the two local schools."

Academically, Thompson is carrying a 3.0 GPA and will attend the NorCal Nike Camp in May.
