The All-American Game season is kicking into full gear this week, with two games taking place in South Carolina, the Offense-Defense Bowl and NUC All-World Gridiron Classic, both featuring UCLA commits and targets. On Saturday, practices begin for the UnderArmour All-America Game in Orlando and next Monday, U.S. Army Bowl practices begin. A week later, practices for the first-ever Polynesian All-American Classic in Los Angeles.
Here is a look at the UCLA commits and targets in each game.
Offense-Defense Bowl (Myrtle Beach, SC)- Friday, December 31st, 1 p.m. (PST) on VERSUS
In addition, former UCLA commit Brandin Cooks, a receiver from Stockton (Calif.) Lincoln, is also on the West roster.
NUC All-World Classic (Charleston, SC)- Friday, December 31st, 3 p.m. (PST) on Fox College Sports
One UCLA commit is in the game, Los Alamitos (Calif.) offensive tackle Ben Wysocki.
Other UCLA recruits in the game include Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde tight end Junior Pomee.
UnderArmour All-America Game (Orlando, FL)- Wednesday, January 5th, 4 p.m. (PST) on ESPN
This game features a mixture of teams, Team Red and Team White, instead of the more traditional East/West set up.
UCLA's most high profile commit, Chandler (Ariz.) quarterback, Brett Hundley is in the game, and he'll be playing quarterback for Team Red.
Several other targets are in the game, including Fontana (Calif.) Summit receiver Devon Blackmon, Scottsdale (Ariz.) Saguaro offensive guard Cyrus Hobbi, San Diego (Calif.) Point Loma defensive tackle Christian Heyward and Washington (D.C.) St. John's defensive tackle Kevin McReynolds. Blackmon, Hobbi and Heyward will visit UCLA officially in January and McReynolds, who raved about Hundley, will be spending plenty of time with him in Orlando after they both visited UCLA in December.
U.S. Army All-American Bowl (San Antonio, TX)- Saturday, January 8th, 10 a.m. (PST) on NBC
The Grandaddy of the All-American Games will feature UCLA targets on both the East and West squads.
The East will feature four players who visited UCLA during the season, Fort Lauderdale (Fla.) Dillard safety Wayne Lyons, who visited the weekend the Bruins played Houston, and three more players who visited for USC- Madison (Miss.) Central receiver Tobias Singleton, Owings Mills (Md.) offensive tackle Donovan Smith and St. Augustine (Fla.) Menendez linebacker Tony Steward. However Steward, a five-star middle linebacker, will miss the game with a torn ACL.
Also on the East is Anthony Sarao, a linebacker from Absecon (N.J.) Holy Spirit.
For the West, UCLA's top defensive target out West, Vista (Calif.) cornerback Stefan McClure, will anchor the West's secondary and he'll be joined by two more guys who visited UCLA the first weekend in December, Portland (Ore.) Central Catholic defensive end Brennan Scarlett, who's cleared to play after a collarbone injury forced him to miss several games this season and South Jordan (Utah) Bingham running back Harvey Langi.
Polynesian All-American Classic (Los Angeles, CA)- Saturday, January 15th, 4 p.m. (PST)
The first-ever Polynesian All-American Classic will take place at Cathedral High in Los Angeles on January 15th.
Some players UCLA is recruiting in the game include La Mesa (Calif.) Helix tight end Sam Meredith, Moreno Valley (Calif.) Rancho Verde tight end Junior Pomee and Gardena (Calif.) Serra defensive tackle David Moala.
