East Coast DB to Visit UCLA

Scout.com contacted 2011 prospect Jeremiah Hendy from Bowie High School in Bowie, Maryland. The three-star defensive back says that he has a final three but there is another school he will visit that may jump into the mix...

Jeremiah Hendy, the 6-1, 185-pounder, a one time Maryland commitment, no longer has them on the list but has been very active with his recruiting process.

He recently took a visit to North Carolina State and has two more visits scheduled before he makes his decision on signing day.

"I visited North Carolina State and received an offer from them while I was there," said Hendy. "I like the facilities and the players were cool and it seemed like it was a family atmosphere there."

Hendy talks about his two final visits he will take.

"I will go to Virginia this weekend and then I will take a visit to UCLA the next weekend. I don't have an offer from UCLA yet but I will take an official there and see what happens."

Besides North Carolina State, Hendy has already visited Virginia previously and Iowa as well. He talks about what he likes about each one.

Virginia – UVA is close to home and has the feel of the north. There are a lot of players from around here that are going to play there. I like the direction of the program and the education is great.

Iowa – Iowa has an established program and football tradition. I feel being further from home and not knowing many people will help me grow as a person. It is a good school and it helps that they have at least a few players form my area. It will be good to know some people being so far away from home.

Hendy intends to take the visit to UCLA on January 28th and when he gets back he will sit down with his family and decide which school is best for him.

He will make an announcement on signing day.
