But 2012 receiver Josiah Blandin is a different type of Jackrabbit receiver, measuring 6-3, 182 pounds at the U.S. Army Combine earlier this month.
"Poly hasn't had a lot of big receivers like me, so Coach (Raul) Lara wants to use my size more next year as a mismatch," said Blandin.
Blandin will enter his third year on the Jackrabbits roster as one of the better big receivers in the Southland, in what should be a banner class of pass-catchers.
While Blandin still waits for his first offer, several schools are staying in touch with him.
Blandin said he grew up a fan of the two Los Angeles schools, and with teammates heading to Washington, the Huskies are right there up at the two with the Bruins and Trojans.
"I went to three USC games last year and two UCLA games, and took an unofficial visit to Arizona State and I like Washington too because my boys are heading up there (Corey Waller and Kameron Jackson)," said Blandin.
But Blandin doesn't want to rush anything in his recruitment.
"I'll take some visits before I decide on anyone," said Blandin.
This spring and summer, Blandin said he'll be taking part in numerous camps and combines and will play with Team AIGA on the 7on7 circuit, having been a part of their title winning team in the Memorial Weekend Tournament.
Academically, Blandin said he had a 3.2 and will take the SAT for the first time in March.
