Brentwood (Calif.) Heritage offensive tackle Will Oliver gets UCLA offer and commits to Bruins, giving them another offensive lineman...

Brentwood (Calif.) Heritage offensive tackle Will Oliver (6-8, 295) was planning to stay in Northern California for college, originally a commit to Sacramento State.

But a late push by UCLA has Oliver heading to the Pac-10.

"They first called me on Tuesday and invited me to come down for a visit," said Oliver. "Coach (Rick) Neuheisel flew up for an in-home with me. I went down on the visit and fell in love with the campus and I committed yesterday."

Oliver said he's still trying to wrap his mind around playing in the Pac-10, since it didn't seem like an option.

"I'm still in shock, it still hasn't hit me," said Oliver. "It's crazy to think I'll be playing in the Pac-10."

Oliver said the offer was a regular offer, no grayshirt was discussed, and he'll sign on Wednesday and enroll in June.

"I had committed to Sacramento State but I had gotten some interest from Nevada, Fresno State and Stanford," said Oliver. "Coach Neuheisel told me he wanted me to come in now and play."

Oliver was hosted on his visit by Phil Ruhl.

"The players and the coaches were all really cool to me," said Oliver.

Oliver said the UCLA staff wants him as an future left tackle.

"It's going to be a great opportunity," said Oliver. "I'm excited about it."
