Compton (Calif.) Dominguez defensive end Damion Turpin (6-3, 245) has seven offers to his name already and a handful of other schools are seemingly on the cusp of offering.

"My offers are from UCLA, Washington, Colorado, Oregon State, Oregon, Arizona State and Duke," said Turpin. "I also like Oregon, Hawaii, Arizona State and Cal."

Turpin grew up a USC fan but said the Trojans haven't spoken much to him.

"My whole family is USC fans, but I'm open to everyone now," said Turpin. "I went to a bunch of UCLA and USC games last year."

Turpin said he planned to camp at Oregon and New Mexico State this spring and summer and likely at USC and UCLA, as well as the Los Angeles Nike Camp.

"My top schools are Oregon, Hawaii, UCLA, Washington, Cal and Arizona State," said Turpin.

Turpin said he's open to leaving the West Coast, but his preference would be to stay out that way.

"I don't want to go too far if I can," said Turpin.

Turpin said he's looking at several factors when deciding on a college.

"I'm a computer guy, so I want to go somewhere that has good computer classes and a good computer program," said Turpin. "And of course a good football program."

As a junior, Turpin had 33 tackles and four sacks.

Turpin has a 3.2 GPA and will take the SAT in June.
