Evans put himself on the map too of quarterbacks to watch from Southern California, and a host of schools are already maintaining contact with him.
Evans said that he's not in a hurry with the process, and as he waits for his first offer, it will give him time to send his film out and throw some in the spring.
"I'm going to take some unofficial visits in the spring and I've been invited to some camps," said Evans. "I'm planning to go to UCLA and Notre Dame this spring and maybe for a camp and then I'll go to the Elite 11 (at Cal) as well as working out with Steve Clarkson."
Evans said that UCLA and Notre Dame are the two schools standing out for him.
"I like UCLA and Notre Dame a lot," said Evans. "Those are probably my top schools."
Evans said he's doing good academically and will take the SAT in the spring.
As a junior, he threw for 2,412 yards on 185-of-286 passing with 30 touchdowns and just six interceptions.
