Tuerk Getting on the Radar

Santa Margarita (Calif.) offensive lineman Max Tuerk (6-6, 275), is sitting on three offers, and before it's all said and done, there should be several more added to his resume.

"I've gotten offered by Duke, SMU and Washington," said Tuerk. "I'm also hearing from Oregon, USC and UCLA too."

Tuerk said since it's so early in the process, there isn't a leader, but the three offers plus USC all have his attention.

"I'm definitely not in a rush," said Tuerk. "I want to go and see some schools, take some visits and then decide closer to Signing Day."

Tuerk said that he's planning on hitting some camps in the spring and summer, likely focusing on team camps the latter part of the year, while trying to make some Junior Days.

"I'm hoping to get to a couple of Junior Days, but I've been to a couple of places already, like a UCLA game last year," said Tuerk.

Tuerk said he's wanting to stay at 275 and then put on more pounds when he gets into college.

"I should easily gain weight," said Tuerk.

Academically, he has a 2.8 and will take the SAT in the spring.

Last fall, he was named an all-state underclass selection by GoldenStatePreps.com.
