Healthy Fiso Looking for Chance

After missing much of his junior year, Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Salamo Fiso is looking to land his first offer, and now that he's healthy, he's making his presence known...

Long Beach (Calif.) Poly linebacker Salamo Fiso (6-1, 210) waits for his first offer, but knows what part of the delay stems from.

"I tore my hip this year and only played four games so I don't have a lot of junior film," said Fiso. "But I'm fully recovered now and playing in some camps and 7on7 tournaments so I think when schools see me more, they could offer."

Fiso said he's hearing the most from USC, UCLA, Washington and Arizona and that Cal and Oregon are also in the mix.

"I think Arizona and Washington could be the closest to offering," said Fiso. "Corey (Waller) is going up there so I've talked with him about Washington and with Coach (Demetrice) Martin."

Fiso said that Cal and USC were the two schools he favored growing up.

"Those were my top schools, but I'm open to everyone right now, like Washington, Oregon and UCLA too."

Fiso can play both inside and outside, but said his preference is to play inside.

"I'm a middle linebacker," said Fiso.

He'll camp at FBU and the Los Angeles Nike Camp as well as the Badger/New Level 7on7.

Academically, he has a 2.8 and will take the SAT in March.
