Monrovia (Calif.) defensive tackle Ellis McCarthy (6-4, 311), continues to be pursued from all over the country.

Arizona offered on Tuesday and Florida and Cal have been more recent offers.

"And I already had ones from UCLA, USC and Washington," said the four-star. "I think Colorado and Michigan are going to offer, and so are Tennessee and Boise State."

He's also getting letters from numerous schools.

"I'm just getting letters from a lot of other schools, and I'm hoping for offers from like Oregon and Nebraska and Alabama," said McCarthy.

McCarthy said that he's not in a rush to decide as more suitors are finding him.

"I'm trying to do the whole process and make all my trips," said McCarthy. "Since I've gotten more offers, I'm being open about it."

McCarthy said he's planning to check out UCLA and USC in the coming weeks too.

He's planning to camp at Florida and the Nike Camp at USC. The trip down to Florida follows an offer he was thrilled to get.

"I was pretty excited that Florida offered me," said McCarthy. "They don't recruit a lot of defensive linemen from California. Coach (Brian) White offered me. I talked with him and Coach (Will) Muschamp."

Academically, McCarthy has a 3.0 and will take the SAT in March.
