Different Feeling for Beaver

Compton (Calif.) Dominguez cornerback Brandon Beaver talks about UCLA's Meet and Greet on Saturday...

Compton (Calif.) Dominguez cornerback Brandon Beaver was one of the primary targets for UCLA at the Bruins' Meet & Greet.

The Scout 2012 Watch Lister enjoyed his time in Westwood.

"I loved it, it was real cool," said Beaver. "This time, it was different, it really felt different. I loved it."

Beaver was flanked by three Dominguez teammates, cornerback Alphonso Marsh, offensive lineman Lacy Westbrook and defensive end Damion Turpin.

"We went to the basketball game and then we talked with the coaches and they just told me all the good stuff about the school," said Beaver. "I talked a lot with Coach (Mike) Johnson and (Coach) Tim Hundley and I got to meet Coach (Jim) Tresey."

Beaver said that he's still open and not in a rush to make a decision.

"I'm still pretty wide open, and right now, it's out of a couple schools and I'm trying to narrow it down but I'm not close to making a choice," said Beaver. "Cal is real close to offering and Oregon's DB coach said he's going to come see me in the spring."

Beaver said that Washington, Colorado and Arizona are all recruiting him heavily along with the Bruins.

He's been selected to the 1925 All-Star Team and will play with them at the Badger 7on7 in Vegas.

Beaver's offers are from Arizona, Arizona State, Colorado, Tennessee, UCLA, Washington, Fresno State, New Mexico, New Mexico State and SMU.
