Kourtzidis On Recruiting Radar

Orange (Calif.) Lutheran tight end Christo Kourtzidis (6-4, 230) is sitting on one offer, but as his film is making the rounds, Kourtzidis is anticipating more offers to come in to play.

"Washington offered a couple of days ago," said Kourtzidis. "Coach (Steve) Sarkisian and Coach (Nick) Holt offered me. They were down here a couple years ago recruiting my teammate (Garrett Gilliland)."

And Kourtzidis is hopeful that more schools join the mix.

"I'm hearing from other Pac-10 schools like USC, UCLA, Oregon and then Oklahoma, Nebraska and LSU," said Kourtzidis. "I also like Miami and Florida."

Kourtzidis will be going to USC for Junior Day and has been to UCLA for an unofficial, and was at the UCLA-Stanford game last fall as a guest of the Bruins.

"I'm going to take some unofficials to some schools, but I haven't decided the best time for a decision yet," said Kourtzidis.

Kourtzidis plays on both sides of the ball, but said his recruitment is coming as a tight end.

Academically, he has a 3.2 and will take the SAT in the spring.

Brandon is in his seventh year with Scout.com, currently as the West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
