The son of former Cal star receiver Brian Treggs, the younger Treggs made another trek to Berkeley, this time for Junior Day, and left as positive as he's been on the Bears.
"It was great there," said Treggs. "I really had a good time because a lot of top recruits were there. So if I go there, I know that there are going to be some good guys to support me."
Treggs said he connected with several of the recruits there.
With Kline long committed, and Thompson, himself a Cal legacy with his brother Syd'Quan having played there, committing, the pressure might have been on Treggs to decide.
But he hasn't.
"I've been asked that about 20 times in the past two days," said Treggs. "I didn't really feel any pressure. When I commit, I want to be solid with it. So I'm going to visit some other schools and see which school is the best fit for me."
"UCLA was good," said Treggs. "I sat down with the offensive coordinator, Mike Johnson, for a long time."
Treggs still plans to visit Arizona State and Notre Dame this spring.
But now, it's camp time for Treggs, who will team with Payton to form as good a 1-2 receiver duo on the 7-on-7 circuit, playing for the Team 1925 All-Stars.
