Wednesday's have been good to Concord (Calif.) De La Salle quarterback Bart Houston.

Two Wednesdays ago, Houston got his first offer from Colorado.

Last Wednesday, the Big Ten champs Wisconsin offered the four-star quarterback.

This Wednesday, UCLA joined the fray.

"UCLA just offered me," said Houston.  "Coach (Rick) Neuheisel was who offered."

Houston was thrilled about the offer.

"I'm very excited about the offer," said Houston.  "It's a great school and the football sounds like it is going to change for the better."

San Diego State has also offered Houston, giving him four in all.

Houston has been very productive on the field the past two seasons, leading the storied Spartans to the CIF State Open Division title each year, and earned California Junior of the Year honors by

Concord (Calif.) De La Salle linebacker Michael Barton is up to a half-dozen offers, with two more coming on Wednesday.

"UCLA and Arizona State offered me today," said Barton.

The Bruins and Sun Devils become the fourth and fifth Pac-12 offer for the all-state selection.

"They both made my week, it was awesome," said Barton. "Coach (Rick) Neuheisel from UCLA offered and Coach (Jamie) Christian from Arizona State offered."

Barton previously had conference offers from Washington, Washington State and Oregon State as well as one from LSU.

As a junior, Barton has 72 tackles, three sacks, three pass breakups and a fumble recovery, despite rarely playing a full game with the Spartans blowing teams out. He helped lead the Spartans to the CIF State Open Division title, and was an all-state underclass pick.
