Murray Getting Name On the Map

Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill linebacker Darnell Murray is getting his film out and more schools are noticing him...

Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill linebacker Darnell Murray is eagerly awaiting his first offer.

Several schools, though, have been in contact with the 6-0, 210-pound outside backer.

"I'm hearing from Oregon, USC, Arizona State, Boise State, Washington and UCLA," said Murray. "I went to USC's Junior Day and it was really nice. I really liked the facility and the coaching staff."

The Trojans are in Murray's early top five.

"I'd say my top five right now is USC, Oregon, UCLA, Arizona State and Arizona," said Murray. "I wouldn't commit to anyone right off the top. I want to go through the process and take some visits."

That includes plans to visit a few more Pac-12 schools.

"I'm going to probably go back out to USC and then go to UCLA and then go up to Oregon and Arizona State."

Murray said most schools see him playing outside.

"I like weakside backer, but I'll play anything the coaches want me to play," said Murray.

Academically, he's already been cleared by the NCAA Clearinghouse.
