Jeff Goodman of Fox Sports has now made it public that the AAU coach is Korey McCray, who is associated with one of the best AAU programs in the country, the Atlanta Celtics.
The Celtics have produced players such as Dwight Howard, Josh Smith, Javaris Crittenton, and Derrick Favors.
McCray has personally worked with Howard, John Wall and other NBA players.
Currently in their program are a couple of players UCLA has been revcruiting – Jordan Adams, the 6-5 small forward from Mouth of Wilson (Virg.) Oak Hill, the #28-ranked player in the nation; and 6-7 power forward William Goodwin, from Decatur (Georg.) Southwest Dekalb, the 38th-ranked player in the country. Sources are also indicated that a hire by UCLA of McCray could also make UCLA a player for amother Celtic player, 6-4 wing Damien Wilson, from Oak Hill, the nation's 59th-ranked player. This morning, the 39th-ranked player, Tony Parker, a 6-8 center from Lithonia (Georg.) Miller Grove, tweeted: "UCLA gets mcray great pick up definitely has interest from me."
We reported earlier this week that UCLA is looking like it could get a commitment from an elite player, which was Adams, who has said he could commit to UCLA by June. Since then, however, we've heard that Adams has indicated he might want to visit a few schools before he makes a commitment.
Both Adams and Goodwin have now said they plan on visiting UCLA in June.
