Chance Murray, 6-2 JR SG Los Angeles (Calif ) Price, is one of the best shooters in the west for 2013. Murray has a nice, compact stroke and he gets it off quickly. He has good ball skills for a shooting guard and it's possible he could play some point guard at the next level. He's a good, not great, athlete and has a solid feel for the game.

I spoke with Murray recently and asked about the schools that have been in contact with him.

"I'm hearing from UCLA, USC, Baylor, Arizona, Washington, Eastern Washington and UNLV," said Murray. "Washington, Eastern Washington and UNLV have offered."

I asked Murray if any school stands out for him at this time.

"UCLA kind of stands out right now," said Murray.

Murray talked a little about the factors he will consider when choosing a school.

"A program that fits me, with good academics and just a good overall basketball program," said Murray. "I'd kind of like to be close to home, but it's not that big of a deal if I go away. I'm sure my parents would like me to stay close, but they are going to leave it up to me."

Murray said he has yet to take any unofficial visits.

"I've only been to the UCLA camp so far," said Murray.

I asked Murray if he has given any thought to when he will pick a school.

"I was thinking about at the end of my senior season," said Murray.

Murray said he has a 4.0. GPA
