Porter has had a handful of guests come by with more schools expected to stop by in the month of May.
"UCLA and Arizona came last week and so did Boise State," said Porter. "I think Washington and Washington State are coming this month."
Porter has tried to see as many of these schools as he can, with seven schools having been visited unofficially by the four-star.
"I've been to Arizona, Arizona State, Washington, UCLA, USC, San Diego State and Boise State," said Porter.
He said three Pac-12 schools, including one in particular, are recruiting him more aggressively than the others.
"UCLA is recruiting me probably the hardest and Oregon State and Arizona are recruiting me pretty hard too," said Porter.
Porter said he grew up with UCLA as his favorite school.
"I liked UCLA growing up," said Porter. "A lot of my coaches are saying for me to go there or to San Diego State. My family is just telling me to do what feels best."
Porter said that most schools are recruiting him as a middle linebacker, his position at La Habra, while a few said they'd like him to play outside.
The 10th-ranked middle linebacker by Scout.com, Porter said he's not in a rush to make a decision.
"I want to try and take most of my official visits," said Porter. "Everything has been pretty much open for me. I haven't had a chance to sit down with my mom and dad about it and talk about narrowing things down."
Porter is also a high-level baseball player, and may do the Area Code Games this summer instead of college camps.
