2012 Intro: M.J. Bailey

San Marcos (Calif.) safety M.J. Bailey has remained relatively quiet until now. Bailey, though, showed off his strong defensive attributes at B2G last weekend, and talked about the programs contacting him...

Last weekend M.J. Bailey, the 6-foot, 180-pound safety from San Diego (Calif.) San Marcos attended B2G's Instinct Showcase at UCLA.

Bailey describes what he is hoping to accomplish by participating in the showcase.

"I want to get an award and work as hard as I can to get my name out there," said Bailey.

Bailey doesn't have any current offers on the table at this point, but he has been hearing from several programs.

"I am hearing from Arizona, Utah, UCLA, and San Diego State," said Bailey.

The safety has no favorite schools at this stage in the game.

Bailey says, "I would really just like an offer from anywhere, so I can play at the next level."

The 2012 prospect has the ability to play on both sides of the ball, but prefers to play defense. Bailey has a busy off-season planned, he is doing everything he can to help heat up his exposure.

"This summer I am planning on attending Arizona State's two-day camp, along with SDSU's camp. And I have also been invited to Arizona's camp," said Bailey.

The optimistic safety is working on getting stronger before his senior season kicks-off in the fall.

"I pull the sled and push my mom's truck to prepare during the off-season."

Bailey is hoping his performance last weekend will result in an invitation to play in B2G's elite invitational camp at the end of the summer.

"I want it so bad, you have no idea. They are pushing me a lot and getting me pumped up," said Bailey.
