Intro 2012: Michael Robert

The Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey athlete, Michael Robert, is another Dons' prospect to watch and he'll camp at UCLA this spring...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Dorsey athlete Michael Robert has been working during the spring and hopes that the spring will present him with his first offer.

"We've had Cal and SMU by and I'm also hearing from Washington, Colorado, Fresno State, Boise State, Wyoming, UCLA and San Diego State," said Robert.

Robert plays both corner and receiver, and said his recruiting attention is divided.

"I'm being recruited as an athlete," said Robert. "But I prefer corner."

Still, one of the biggest impacts he made this spring was playing receiver, scoring the tying touchdown for Team B2G in Las Vegas to force overtime at the Badger Elite 7on7, which B2G would win.

"That was a fun tournament for us and I got to show what I could do," said Robert, who camped at the B2G Instinct Training last weekend.

Robert has a busy spring and summer planned.

"I'm going to the Stanford Nike Camp and then to the Cal and UCLA camps," said Robert.

Robert contributed in all three facets of the game for Dorsey last year.

He had 33 tackles and five interceptions and added three touchdown receptions plus a kickoff return and punt return for a touchdown.

"And I also kicked a 35-yard and 32-yard field goal," said Robert.

Academically, Robert has a 2.8 and will take the SAT this Saturday.
