Gardena (Calif.) Serra linebacker Thomas Brown made the move from Long Beach (Calif.) St. Anthony's, and now that he's at a perennial powerhouse, which has sent numerous players to college, the attention is following him.

"I really like it at Serra and it's a good fit for me," said Brown. "I have offers from SMU and Arizona State."

In addition, a slew of schools are checking in on him.

"I've heard from a lot of colleges, Boise State, Cal, USC, Eastern Washington, Utah, Utah State, Colorado, Colorado State, UCLA and San Diego State," said Brown. "As more schools know I'm here and see my film, I think more offers will come in."

Brown said the Sun Devils are leading for him.

"They're my favorite school," said Brown. "I took an unofficial to Arizona State and that put them up there."

Brown, 6-2.5, 210-pounds, said most schools are looking him as an outside linebacker.

"They say mostly SAM backer," said Brown. "I like outside backer. The school I'm looking for, it's all about the fit."

Brown camped at the Los Angeles Nike Camp and plans to attend more camps this spring and summer.

At St. Anthony's last season, he had 120 tackles, six blocked punts, four forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries while rushing for 975 yards and eight touchdowns.

He'll play linebacker exclusively at Serra this season.

Academically, he has a 2.8 GPA and will take the SAT this spring.
