Taubler Adds Coveted Offer

Fresno (Calif.) Bullard tight end Ian Taubler added his fourth offer Thursday afternoon when a coveted Pac-12 program pulled the trigger. Check inside for the details…

Ian Taubler (6-6, 250) is a man among boys on the football field. Whether at tight end or defensive end, he ranks among the top prospects in the West.

Despite missing most of his junior season with pneumonia, his recruitment has picked up during the spring evaluation period. Fresno State and Yale offered him as a sophomore, and Oregon State offered last month.

Taubler added a coveted offer from UCLA after he called Bruin head coach Rick Neuheisel Thursday afternoon.

"Coach Neuheisel spent about 10 minutes with Ian and told him what a valuable member of the team he would be and invited him to the camp," said his father, Brian Taubler. "UCLA has been one of his favorites. It's been that way since eighth grade."

Arizona, Colorado, Nevada, and Northwestern are a few more schools that have checked on him this spring.

Taubler doesn't have a timeline for a decision, and he is considering all schools. He plans to camp at Cal, the Fresno State team camp, UCLA, Utah, and possibly a few others this summer.
