Chaz Anderson Is Keeping Busy

Camps and spring practice are taking up a lot of the time of the Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola cornerback, Chaz Anderson...

Los Angeles (Calif.) Loyola cornerback Chaz Anderson (6-0, 175) is still holding one offer, but with numerous schools calling and coming by in the spring, Anderson thinks a good showing at some camps can increase that total.

"Boise State is the only offer I have right now," said Anderson. "But San Diego State is recruiting me and Fresno State is as a receiver. Washington and UCLA were two schools that have been by too."

Arizona State, Oregon State, SMU, USC, Arizona and San Diego State have also been in touch with Anderson.

"I'm going to Arizona State in June and I'm probably going to camp at UCLA and maybe USC," said Anderson.

Anderson also may take an unofficial visit to SMU in July, when he and his Team 1925 All-Star teams plays in Dallas at the New Level Elite 7on7 National Tournament.

"I really don't know what other unofficial visits or camps I'll go to," said Anderson. "I'm talking that over with my mom."

In the meantime, Anderson is full bore in spring football and he'll be playing with his 1925 teammates this weekend at the AIGA Memorial 7on7 Tournament in Redondo.

Anderson was one of the top defensive backs at the Stanford Nike Camp earlier this month.

Academically, he has a 3.0 and took the SAT earlier in May.

Brandon is in his seventh year with Scout.com, currently as the National Recruiting Analyst and West Regional Manager. Prior to joining the Scout Recruiting Team, he was a team recruiting writer.  He's been covering recruiting for the Scout Network since 2003.
