Sewell Staying Wide Open

Bothell (Wash.) receiver Trent Sewell has no favorites and remains wide open with plenty of camp plans for the summer...

Bothell (Wash.) receiver Trent Sewell is still sitting on two Pac-12 offers, but he's hoping to add more to the mix.

"I still have the offers from UCLA and Washington State," said Sewell. "And Oregon State, Colorado, Oregon, Arizona and Cal have been talking with me a lot."

Bothell was a frequent stop for numerous Western programs during the spring.

"Colorado, Cal, Washington State, Washington, Boise State, Oregon, Oregon State and Arizona all came by," said Sewell. "They all said they want me to come to their camp."

So now Sewell has to decide which camps he'll be attending.

"I'm trying to make it to the Arizona, Oregon, Oregon State, Colorado and Cal camps, and then I'm going to the Oregon Nike Camp (on Sunday) and the Gesser Camp (next week)," said Sewell.

Sewell said Washington State and UCLA consistently stay in contact with him.

"UCLA and Washington State stay in regular contact, and I just talk with them and see how the recruiting process is going for them," said Sewell. "I talk with Coach (Mike) Levenseller from Washington State and Coach (Tim) Hundley from UCLA."

The three-star has no leader at this point.

"I'm wide open, I have no favorites," said Sewell. "I want to have as much fun as I can and I'll make my decision during the season."

Last fall, Sewell caught 44 passes for 1,058 yards and scored 11 touchdowns, earning all-league honors for the state semifinalist.

Academically, Sewell has a 3.0 and took the SAT earlier this spring.
