Harper Hopes Camp Nets Offer

Ontario (Calif.) Colony athlete Bryan Harper will camp at UCLA this weekend in hopes of a Bruin offer...

Ontario (Calif.) Colony athlete Bryan Harper (6-1, 178), holds five offers but would love to see that expand by a few more, sooner rather than later.

"I have offers from Arizona State, Montana, Colorado, New Mexico State and Colorado State," said Harper. But I definitely think more could be coming soon."

And those schools come from the Pac-12.

"USC and UCLA are definitely schools that have been in contact with me and my coaches. I definitely think USC and UCLA could offer and probably Utah as well," said Harper.

Harper camped at USC last weekend and he'll be at UCLA next weekend.

"USC, that was one of the big things, they wanted to see me in their camp and UCLA said I could be an early offer guy before the season if I do well at their camp," said Harper. "UCLA is definitely recruiting me hard. Coach (Clark) Lea and Coach (Wayne) Moses and Coach (Jim) Tresey all came by or talked to me in the spring and we talked about an offer. USC too, they really pressed the issue on going to their camp."

Harper also plans to visit Washington later this month for their Rising Stars Camp.

"Most schools like me as a cornerback, but some are looking at me as an athlete," said Harper. "I'll be playing quarterback and cornerback this year."

Harper said that he's not looking to make a commitment anytime soon.

"I'm taking it slow, and finding that perfect match," said Harper. "I will take all five visits."

Academically, Harper has a 2.9 and took the ACT earlier this month.
