Schools out west haven't been shy about showing attention to 6-foot-4, 175-pound 2012 Bakersfield (Calif.) point guard Tyrone Wallace and recently, another Pac-12 school has started giving him serious interest.

"Arizona started recruiting me pretty tough," Wallace said. "They want me to visit and said they'll see me on the circuit. I'm planning to go up there in August to visit both Arizona State and Arizona."

Wallace says that he's wide open at this point but knows a few schools he wants to take visits to in August.

"In August I'll probably take unofficials to Arizona and Arizona State and then I'll probably take one to UCLA; I've been down there before. Then I'll take official visits," he said.

Wallace gave his thoughts to a few of the other schools he's been hearing from beyond Arizona:

Arizona State: "The head coach has been recruiting me himself. Every time I've gotten a call from them it's been the head coach. I've heard good things about the program from outside people."

Gonzaga: "Gonzaga was one of the first schools that started recruiting me. They've been consistently recruiting me hard. They've been at a lot of my games."

UCLA: "Growing up as a kid I always liked UCLA. It's close to home - only two hours away - and I like the coaches; Coach (Scott) Garson, Coach (Ben) Howland, and all them."

There's no change to Wallace's timetable, as he says he's definitely in no rush to make a decision.

"I want to take my time," he said.
