Could Lutui Come Back to Cali?

Th #13-ranked offensive tackle in the nation, Hiva Lutui from Euless (Tex.) Trinity, is originally from California, and he attended UCLA's Lineman Camp over the weekend. He talked about the schools that made his top-five list and the possibility of coming back to Cali...

On Saturday, Euless (Tex.) Trinity offensive line prospect Hiva Lutui attended UCLA's Lineman camp for his first visit to the school, though he didn't participate.

"I like everything about the school, the coaches, the facility, and the people here. Prior to coming out here, I had been in contact with UCLA's defensive coordinator, Coach (Jim) Tresey. He is the one that recruited me," said Lutui.

Lutui grew up in California but moved in 2005 to Texas with his family, where he now lives and goes to school. But he may be tempted to return to his California roots.

"I might be coming back to California. I have loved my experience so far. UCLA is one of my top picks because of the coaching staff, Coach (Rick) Neuheisel, the facilities and the history here," said Lutui.

Lutui revealed his top five schools.

"My top five are UCLA, Utah, Oregon State, Texas A&M and Cal," said Lutui. "I am trying my best to visit as many schools as I can this summer, I am heading down to San Diego next week to visit San Diego State. As I am visiting schools, I am looking to find out, the style of offense they run, and what position they want me to play at. I am also getting to know the people, to figure out if the coaches are good people with good character."

The four-star offensive lineman also talked about the importance of a good education.

"I am looking for a good education because the NFL isn't promised. A school that can get me far in life, help me to get a good job, and be able to raise my family, incase going to the NFL doesn't work out," said Lutui.
