Middleton Makes His Mark at Camp

Oceanside (Calif.) offensive lineman Eduardo Middleton hopes he impressed at UCLA's Lineman Camp enough to possibly earn him a scholarship offer from the Bruins...

Oceanside (Calif.) offensive lineman Eduardo Middleton (6-5, 290), is now in double digits with offers, with two Pac-12 schools joining the fray.

Utah, Oregon State and SMU all recently threw their names into the ring for Middleton.

"I plan on making my decision sometime during the school year, so I want to make sure whichever school I choose is the right fit. So I'm open to everyone, and schools that haven't offered.

Middleton's offers are from Air Force, Navy, San Diego State, Utah, Washington State, Boise State, Eastern Washington, Oregon State, SMU and UNLV.

He camped at UCLA and USC and at the UCLA Lineman Camp, had a strong showing.

"I feel I did pretty good there," said Middleton. "They hadn't offered me yet, but I think the camp may have changed some things. I'm guessing they like me as a guard."

Middleton said several schools like him as a guard, and some as a tackle.

"The Academies and San Diego State like me as a tackle, but the rest haven't really clarified, but most likely they want me as a guard," said Middleton.

Middleton said that he thinks USC and UCLA could offer him as an inside lineman down the road, but he's not worried about waiting it out.

"I like either position and I'm not in a rush to decide, so I can take my time," said Middleton.

Academically, Middleton is in solid shape with a 3.86 and a 1690 on the SAT.
