Big List For Edosomwan

Zena Edosomwan, one of the elite post prospects in the west for 2012, is still waiting on an offer from the Bruins...

Zena Edosomwan, 6-7 SR PF North Hollywood (Calif.) Harvard-Westlake, had a very solid showing the first two weeks of July and he has a host of high major programs recruiting him.

"I'm hearing from Vanderbilt, USC, Colorado, Washington State, Oregon, Utah, Arizona State, Maryland, Gonzaga, Missouri, Harvard, UCLA and Texas," said Edosomwan.

Edosomwan said every school but Vanderbilt, Texas and UCLA has offered.

"Texas told me they will probably offer after the evaluation period ends," said Edosomwan.

Edosomwan said he doesn't have a leader at the moment.

"I'm really open right now," said Edosomwan. "I'm waiting to sit down with my parents and then cut down my list."

Edosomwan has taken unofficial visits to USC and UCLA. I asked him if he has any schools in mind for official visits.

"I definitely want to visit Texas and I'm going to Harvard on September 22nd," said Edosomwan. "I'm talking with Washington State and Gonzaga about setting up dates."

When asked if he has a feel for which schools have been recruiting him the hardest, Edosomwan replied, "Harvard and USC have really been recruiting me hard since my sophomore year."

Edosomwan talked a little about the factors he will consider when picking a school.

"I definitely want a good conference where I can play at a high level," said Edosomwan. "Academics are really important as I would like to go into medicine. I'd like to play somewhere that I can compete for playing time as a freshman."
