Powe Is Favoring Five Schools

The Lakewood (Calif.) receiver, Darius Powe, has five schools that are leading for his services. Where does UCLA stand for him?

Lakewood (Calif.) receiver Darius Powe has offers spanning the country, but five schools are standing out to him.

"Right now, I'm focused on Oregon State, Michigan, Utah, Miami and UCLA," said Powe.

But no leader has emerged from that group.

"I don't have a leader right now, everyone is even," said Powe. "Malik (Gilmore, his Lakewood teammate and Beaver commit), is telling me to go to Oregon State with him but I'm going to go through the whole process."

Powe said he is certain to use all five of his official trips.

"I'll probably visit four of those schools and I'll probably add another one and not use UCLA officially because I've been there a bunch and can go there anytime," said Powe.

Powe said that with Lakewood teammates at numerous schools, several are recruiting him.

"Of course you have Malik with Oregon State, but also Torian (White) at UCLA, Rashad (Wadood) at Arizona State and other guys always talking up there school," said Powe.

The big receiver said every school is recruiting him for offense but one.

"My coach said Nebraska is recruiting me as a safety, but mostly everyone else is as a receiver," said Powe.

The UnderArmour All-American also has a time frame for when he'll announce.

"I'll probably announce at UnderArmour or maybe a little earlier than that," said Powe.
