Inglewood (Calif.) athlete Derrick Woods has run the gamut of camps the past couple of weeks, going to The Opening in Oregon and Gridiron Kings in Florida.

"They don't get old," said Woods. "They're always great experiences for me, and it's another great opportunity for me to show off my talent."

Woods played primarily safety this weekend for the West, but his heart is on offense.

"If I have to choose between safety or receiver, I want to play receiver," said Woods. "I'm a playmaker first."

Woods said a few schools are standing out to him, but no favorite has emerged.

"I'm focusing on USC and Alabama then Washington and Oregon a little," said Woods. "I also have Cal, UCLA and Arizona. Patrick (Onwuasor) is in ny head about coming to Arizona with him. Oregon State is looking at me, but they like me as a safety, and I'm not really in to safety."

Woods said he wouldn't take an official visit to any in-state schools.

"I won't take my officials to local schools," said Woods. "I want to get out and see the country, see what everything is like, the weather, the fan bases."

Woods has an idea of when he'll decide too.

"I think I'll announce at the Army game," said Woods.
