The 6-foot-1, 190-pound Fuller told Scout.com the common thread with each of the schools on his list recruiting the athlete for his desired position.
"I'm going to try and play quarterback," Fuller said. "I haven't decided where my official visits are going to be yet. I haven't discussed that.
Here are Fuller's finalists:
TCU: "I like the campus. I was there, and the academics were very good, and the football team is very good."
Alabama: "It's a great football program, the coaches there could develop me to go to the (NFL) if the opportunity is there for me."
Connecticut: "They have a great campus, great facilities and the football team is on the rise and won the Big East last year. They have new coaches and they said they would incorporate some spread into the offense for me."
Georgia Tech: "They run the triple option. It's not my favorite offense, but I could do some damage in that offense. The facilities are wonderful, the academics are wonderful and the coaches …I fell in love with when I was down there."
UCLA: "I like (assistant) coach (Mike) Johnson, who came from Oregon State and they have there now. I think he's going to change the program around a little bit, and the campus is unbelievable and the academics are unbelievable. I am going there Thursday."
Kansas: "They have a new coach with Turner Gill He's a good guy. He's doing the spread offense and they are recruiting me as a QB, and my dad grew up there and knows about the area and likes it there."
Rutgers: "I talk to (assistant) coach (Jeff) Hafley, and he's probably one of best recruiters I've talked to. The campus is close to home, the football team is on rise with recruiting class they got last year, and the recruiting class they have this year."
Nebraska: "They have spread off there, and that intrigues me. They said I'm the only quarterback they've offered so far."
Boston College: "I talk to (assistant) coach (Bill) McGovern, and they were my second offer and that means a lot that they were willing to take the time to offer me when no one else did. The coaches have been very truthful with me and telling me if I don't go there, they won't take a quarterback in the class."
Penn State: "It's a similar situation (to Boston College)). They're a very good school. The facilities are wonderful, the stadium is wonderful and a lot of people from school (Old Tappan) go there and they all say it is wonderful."
Miami: "They're recruiting me as an athlete-type player. The school is wonderful, academic side is wonder, the football is wonderful and so is the area."
Fuller plans to take official visits before he makes a decision, but isn't ready to reveal which schools he will visit.
Also, Fuller added he could have another list reduction soon.
"I don't know when the next one is going to come," he said, "but maybe before the season."
