Westlake Village (Calif.) Oaks Christian cornerback Ishmael Adams has a pair of schools, both from the Golden State, leading for him.

But his first visit will be to the Midwest.

"I'm going to Notre Dame on October 2nd when they play USC and then I'm trying to figure out my five visits," said Adams.

Cal and UCLA remain the leaders for Adams, and he said after the two UC schools, Colorado, Arizona State, Notre Dame, Oregon and Oregon State remain in contention for the remaining visits.

"Cal, I'll most likely take an official to, but UCLA is so close, that I'll probably take an unofficial and use officials to farther reaching schools," said Adams.

Adams visited Cal unofficially earlier this month and also was at UCLA for their fall scrimmage.

"At Cal, I liked it a lot, the area is set up real nice and the facilities they are building up are going to be great," said Adams. "With UCLA, they have a lot of momentum going into the season and look ready for that first game and I love the campus."

An Army Bowl selection, Adams said he's not sure when he'll decide, but is leaning towards waiting until San Antonio.

"Right now, I'll wait until the Army Game and make my decision there," said Adams. "If I'm positive where I want to go in the meantime, I'll decide before.".

Adams and Oaks Christian will start their season on Saturday night in a game televised on FSN Prime Ticket when they face Bellevue, the Washington State powerhouse.

"Our coaches have done a very good job on the game plan, offensively and defensively, and it should be a great game going against what kind of offense they run (the Wing-T). We're ready to start hitting some other people," said Adams.
