Gardena (Calif.) Serra linebacker Thomas Brown (6-2, 210), has fit in just nicely with the Cavs after moving over from St. Anthony's in Long Beach.

He was stellar during the spring 7on7 circuit and summer camps, and he's got three offers, but is hoping to add more.

"Acouple more schools want to see me before they offer, but I already have offers from SMU, Arizona State and also Colorado has joined the mix."

The other schools interested in Brown, but yet to have offered, are from the Pac-12.

"UCLA, Oregon and Oregon State are the three schools that said they want to see a game," said Brown. "I just need to show the schools that I'm able to play at a higher level."

Brown said that being at Serra will allow that to happen.

"The atmosphere is cool and the competition level is very high," said Brown. "Serra is a great place to be."

Brown said he's planning to set up trips and will do so during the fall.

"I want to take all my visits and see for myself," said Brown. "I haven't set up any officials yet, I'm getting that together. I'm looking at the football perspective, the academic perspective, whether they have a good squad and a good coaching staff. Mainly people I can relate to, so I can have a good four years at the university."

Brown has one teammate, Kache Palacio, committed to SMU, and another, Raymond Ford, to UCLA.

"I have the SMU offer and Kache is talking a lot about them, and then Raymond is hoping I get a UCLA offer so we could play there," said Brown.

Brown and his Serra teammates start their season on Friday when they face Sherman Oaks Notre Dame.
