"Everything is going pretty well right now," Stanley says of his recruiting process. "A lot of schools have been calling me often. Florida State, Nebraska, Arkansas, USC, and UCLA are probably the ones calling the most right now."
The 6-foot-6, 280-pound athlete is waiting until early October to cut down his list again, but he has set up two visits in the meantime.
Arkansas and Notre Dame will be home to Stanley's first two officials.
"I was just really interested in finding out more," he tells Scout.com. "The main thing about Notre Dame is that I just heard so many good things and people tell me that I need to go see it. That was a place I just couldn't pass up on going to see. And Arkansas, I just thought I should give it a chance because I feel like they have a really good thing going for them."
The four-star athlete will be visiting Arkansas' campus on October 7th, and is still in the process of rescheduling his trip to Notre Dame, where he says he will definitely be visiting during the season.
What specifically will he be looking for?
"The chemistry with the whole team and the coaches, how they run their practices, how everything is organized and stuff," he says. "I want to see how good each offensive coordinator is and head coach, and offensive linemen coaches, that's really important. Just the overall feeling of the place and if I think I can live there for four years, or however long I'm in college."
