Murray Still On Bruins' Radar

Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill linebacker Darnell Murray is staying in consistent contact with UCLA coaches and is hoping an offer comes from the Bruins...

Perris (Calif.) Citrus Hill linebacker Darnell Murray (6-1, 220), is sitting on three offers, but with a good start to his senior year so far, is putting together a highlight film that he hopes leads to more offers.

"My offers are from UTEP, Utah State and New Mexico State," said Murray. "But I'm talking a lot with UCLA, Arizona State, San Jose State, UNLV and San Diego State."

Murray was invited to the UCLA-San Jose State game and said he's talked extensively with Wayne Moses, who recruits the Inland Empire for the Bruins.

"He said they want to see some senior film," said Murray. "That's what most schools are saying so I'm going to put it together."

Murray, who plans to graduate early, is hoping to take all five of his official visits.

"I'm definitely planning on taking a few of them, but right now I'm focused on the season," said Murray. "I'm all set to graduate early, in January, so I want to be there for spring. I'm hoping I get all of my visits done."

Murray thinks he's pretty close to the floodgates opening.

"I really feel like I'll be picking up a few big offers when the film goes out," said Murray.

On the year, Murray has 55 tackles with three forced fumbles.
