Neuheisel Video, Practice Notes

Richard Brehaut had a decent day, and placekicker Jeff Locke struggled with his kicks, and the Bruins are banged up in the secondary...

Normal Thursday in shells ...
-
Safety Tony Dye was able to practice, but cornerback Sheldon Price (knee), F-back Anthony Barr (knee), safety Dalton Hilliard (shoulder) and safety Alex Mascarenas (concussion) were out.
-
Cornerback Jamie Graham, coming back from knee surgery, did more work with the No. 2 defense and looks like he can play at least a limited role at Stanford.
-
Linebacker Jared Koster (stinger) also was back in practice.
-
In the red zone 7 on 7, Richard Brehaut opened with a poor decision and throw that was picked off by Aaron Hester. He rallied from there, but when they went into 2-minute near the end of practice the first play the No. 1 offense ran, he was picked off again. That ball was an overthrow and safety Stan McKay made a nice play on the ball to pick it off.
-
Brehaut, on the second go in 2-minute, got the offense into position for a field goal. He completed a nice 4th-down pass to Taylor Embree to get there, but made the throw and got some help on the receiving end. Jeff Locke hit it. Locke struggled with his PATs and field goals last week at Oregon State, but has hit the ball well all week.
-
On the offensive line, guard Albert Cid got some work with the No. 1 offense.
-
No live periods in practice, obviously, but there was some extra 'thud' on some plays from the No. 1 defense when it was working against the scouts.
